Great list Becky! I stumbled across your post while looking for Blogger tips. I have 2 blogs on Blogger and I love learning new ways to tweak them. One thing I would add to the list - make a custom favicon. It's easy and gives a blog a pro look.
Thanks for the info :)

I run a few blogs with Blogger. My biggest concern is that I feel that SEO wise, it doesn't do well. Surprisingly, even though one would think that Blogger would get google crawls and fast indexing, I have found that Yahoo search is sending me much more traffic (when adjusted for the size of yahoo's overall market share vs google).
Anyone else having the same issues?

Also, for what its worth, my best performing blog SEO wise is with SquareSpace

Thank so much for this post I had been going through a course and I saw they were still using the Blogger platform and I have absolutely been on that WordPress roller-coaster and I will still use it but when I saw that I was taken with that out with the old and in with the new mentality.

I think I will use a combination of both. It just make so much sense to me using the Blogger platform with Google they're synonymous with each other so aging appreciate the article you can never go wrong with good content.

Hey Becky, great post. I like Blogger a lot and even though my "name" blog is on WordPress, and I really dig Matt Mullenweg's vision for content dissemination, I have to agree about the whole automatic updating thing and what a pain it is to host your own software. And I really like the improvements to Blogger (and I like how consistently they make improvements). My first "professional" blog was for a former employer and it was proudly hosted on Blogger!
